Early Season Top US Times Set at 2025 Nassau County Invitational

The 2025 Nassau Coaches Invitational saw some early season US top times set here at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex. Nearly 50 schools from the tri-state area descended upon Staten Island to compete!

Varsity boys action started with Okikijesu Fashakin (Academy Charter) winning the 55 meters in 6.63. In the 55 meter hurdles, Kiran Gabbur (Wheatley) won the 55m hurdles at 8.13. Zach Greene (Oyster Bay) took the 1000 meters at 2:37.51, while Alex Toran (Northport) powered through the 600 meters in 1:23.00. Ian Frazer (Wantagh) posted 4:25.34 to win the 1600m run. Luis Salazar (West Half Hollow Hills) claimed the 300 meter run in 35.56. Bishop Loughlin's 4x400 squad claimed victory in the 1600m relay at 3:27.67, while Manhasset won the 4x800 relay at 8:28.79. Paul D. Schreiber captured the 4x200 title at 1:33.48.

In the field events, George Joseph (Herricks) soared to 19-1 to win the long jump. Kenneth Ramdayal tossed 49-3.75 in shot put &  69-4.50 in weight throw to double in the cages. Edward Rodriguez (South Side) cleared 6-0 in the high jump, while William Duhs (East Meadow) claimed pole vault honors at 12-0.

The girls varsity slated featured multiple double winners as well. Breanne Barnett (Baldwin) won the 55 meter dash in 7.16 and returned later to take the 300 meters at 38.71. She is committed to the University of Virginia next fall.

Nicolette Lewis (Oyster Bay) clocked 9.27 in the 55m hurdles. Zaria Hall (East Meadow) put together a memorable day, winning both the 1000 meters (2:55.98 - NEW US # 3) and 600 meters (1:37.51 - NEW US # 5). Taylor Maguire (Garden City) captured the 1500 meters at 4:51.37. Relay titles went to Bishop Loughlin in the 4x400 (4:08.62), East Meadow in the 4x800 (10:17.26), and Longwood in the 4x200 (1:48.38).

In the field events, Paige Fessler (Valley Stream North) leaped 17-5.75 to win the long jump, while Kayla Beaumont (Deer Park) took the triple jump with her mark of 37-10.5. Zoe Scher (Paul D. Schreiber) tossed 32-1 in shot put, and Valentina DeVivo (Plainview-Old Bethpage) dominated the weight throw at 42-9. Kate Voelker (Manhasset) cleared 5-10 to win the high jump, and Amanda Tedesco (Garden City) secured the win in the pole vault at 8-6.
