Day Two of the 71st Annual Bishop Loughlin Games saw the girls hit the track here at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex on Sunday, December 21st. Winslow Township took home the team title with 39 points.

Janelia Williams (Paul Robeson) doubled in impressive fashion, winning the 55m (7.01) and later powering to victory in the 300m (39.04). Williams was named Girls Track MVP.  Jasmine Jackson (Winslow Township), captured the 55mH title in 7.99. Winslow Township was dominant on the track, sweeping both sprint relays with wins in the 4x200 (1:43.68) and 4x400 (3:54.37), while Ma'Syiah Brawner added a field event title in the triple jump (37-0.5).
Helena Szep (Middletown North) started the meet with a win in the 2-mile (10:44.80). Anna Bockius (Padua Academy) posted a US #1 time of 4:51.16 in the mile. Check out our interview with Anna below!.
Padua also saw Mary Drost claim the 1000m (3:07.52) and Amirah Laster win the shot put (43-4). Sharifa Trocard (Irvington) took the 600m crown at 1:34.24, while Springfield won the 4x800 victory at 9:57.72.
Field events were highlighted by Jordan Bowers-Strickland (West Side) winning the long jump at 17-8.5, Leah Solomon (Pingry School) cleared 10-6 to win the pole vault, and Kate Voelker (Manhasset) won the high jump at 5-8 to be named Girls MVP.. The weight throw went to Cherry Amancio (Midwood) with a mark of 45-2.
