The 11th Annual Ocean Breeze Freedom Games delivered an exciting day of competition as the girls kicked off day one of the two-day event!

South Lakes closed day one of the 2026 Ocean Breeze Freedom Games with a US # 1 in the 4x800, securing the team trophy as well, with 24 points. Port Jefferson's Alexa Jacobs doubled, capturing wins in both the 55 meters (7.11) and the 300 meters (39.92) In the hurdles, Parker Steele of Guilderland claimed the 55-meter hurdles title in 8.22. Jessica Abbott (Manalapan) won the 600 meters, crossing the line in 1:37.91, while Caroline Elliott (South Lakes) secured the victory in the 1000 meters with a time of 2:51.16.

Madelyn McCartney of Emmaus won the 3000 meters (10:04.20) and Cali Gabrielson (Mt. Sinai) captured the 1600 meters in 5:04.57. Katherine Dituro of Hauppauge took first with a time of 7:33.17 in the 1500m racewalk. Central Bucks East earned top honors in the 4x400 relay (4:02.04), while South Lakes dominated the 4x800 relay (9:22.69) and the 4x200 relay (1:44.41).

Natalia Taylor (Sacred Heart) won the weight throw with a mark of 44-10.50, while Anna Casciano of the Hun School of Princeton captured the shot put at 42-1.50. In the jumps, Isabella Filosa (John S. Burke Catholic) soared to victory in the long jump (17-11). The high jumps aw a tie at 5-2, shared by Anjele Alston (Woodbridge) and Grace Dalgetty (Dwight-Englewood). Delila Kronimus (Minisink Valley) claimed the pole vault with a height of 11-6, and Dayna Scott (Valley Central)won the triple jump (37-4.50).
