Jack Turner and Molly Barton Turner, our February 2026 couple spotlight, met at a dinner party in Manhattan, where Jack was a guest speaker discussing how music is incorporated into movies.
They joined Ocean Breeze because they enjoyed attending track events and the programming offered for kids during school breaks. The couple has two children, a 6-year-old and a 9-year-old, and they've been living in St. George, near the SI Ferry, for the last 15 years. They moved to Staten Island from Brooklyn and the Upper West Side, bringing their Devon Rex cats with them.
The Turners said, "Our favorite room is the track—some days we speed walk together so we can talk, and other days we run independently. Sometimes we do weighted squats and a series of calisthenics called the Five Tibetans. We've also run on the trails next to Ocean Breeze, which is especially beautiful in the fall."
In their downtime, they serve on nonprofit boards, make art projects with the kids, and swim at South Beach! One of their fondest memories at Ocean Breeze so far has been attending the indoor track championships and the kids' camp beforehand—watching the kids interact with pro runners was a thrill!
Molly and Jack's fitness goals include competing in an Olympic triathlon in June in Cape May, inspired by Egyptian soccer player Mohamed Salah.
As for their careers, they both work in creative fields. Molly is the CEO of Realm.fm and Pinna.fm, two podcast companies—Pinna is made for kids and families. Jack is a Film/TV producer, and in 2025, he produced NONNAS. In 2026, they are teaming up to produce multiple projects with local Staten Island talent.
Couples who work out together, stay together! Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Turner!
