2025 Fasttrack Season Opener Kicks-Off Quadruple Header of Meets at Ocean Breeze

The 2025 indoor season kicked off in exciting fashion at the 2025 Fasttrack Season Opener, where athletes from across the Northeast delivered standout early-season performances here at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex!

FULL RESULTS
  • New Haven's Jada Kamtha opened the meet with a strong win in the 60m hurdles, clocking 8.71, while Marist's Parker O'Brien dominated the mile in 5:05.99. Adelphi's Kayla Esposito won the 60m at 8.07. Lucia Garcia-Beltran took the invitational section of the 60m in 7.55. Garcia-Beltran doubled back to win the 200m in 24.96.
  • Middle-distance events saw impressive early-season marks, with Stony Brook's Samantha Osei-Kyei claiming the win in the 500m in 1:17.18, Rowan's Ava Rizzo winning the 600m in 1:38.68, and Marist's Julianna Mirabile ran 2:17.16 for the 800m victory. Rowan's Nyla Jones (40.69) and Marist's Julia Kropo (57.98) secured wins in the 300m and 400m respectively.
  • Stony Brook graduate-student Grace Weigele delivered one of the top performances of the day, running 9:29.94 to take the 3000m, while the Marist 4x400m squad closed the track events with a winning time of 3:55.12.
  • In the field events, Stony Brook's Sienna Bolasingh cleared 1.60m to win the high jump, while pole vaulter Kaitlyn Dermen soared 4.15m en route to victory. Adelphi's Valencia Beaubrun won the long jump (5.75m), New Haven's Gabrielle Teel hit 11.87m in the triple jump, and LIU's Sonjay Baylor-Reeves won the shot put with her toss of 13.61m. Victoria Maher of St. Thomas Aquinas wrapped up the field events with a 15.60m weight throw victory.
  • Rowan's Kwaku Nkrumah opened the men's competition with a 7.95 in the 60m hurdles, followed by Empire Elite's Hazem Miawad, who took the mile in 4:09.60. The 60m dash saw Stockton's Ahmad Fogg claim victory at 7.10. The invitational 60m dash was won by Dareon Faircloth of Bowie State at 6.74.
  • Charles Dalles captured the 500m in 1:05.37, while Georgian Court's Brandon Rudder claimed the 300m (35.18) and Bowie State's Benick Akeh ran 49.18 in the 400m. Marist's Joaquin Bell-Andrade took the 800m running 1:54.99, and Rowan's Rajahn Dixon sprinted to a 21.53 win in the 200m.
  • LIU's Walid Jarfani took the 3000m with a time of 8:17.09, while Stony Brook secured the 4x800m relay (8:08.83) and Rowan ran 3:17.55 in the 4x400m.
  • The field events saw Rowan's Jamile Gantt clear 2.08m in the high jump, Ursinus' Mitchell Davis vaulted 5.01m, and Rowan's Anthony Parker took the long jump at 7.08m. Wilmington's Donte Dockery won the triple jump at 15.40m.
  • Throws were highlighted by Farmingdale State's Adonias Mercado, who won the shot put with 15.86m, and New Haven's Jimmy Oreste, who threw 18.26m to take the weight throw.
