The Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex announced today that registration is now open for the
2024 Ocean Breeze Cross Country Camp!
We are a dedicated to fostering a love for running and providing an environment for participants to be successful while preparing for the upcoming cross country season. The goal of the camp is to teach the basic training and lifestyle fundamentals to help participants perform better in cross country. The areas our coaches will focus on include theory, stretching techniques, strength training, recovery techniques, and nutrition advice.
Groups are based on a combination of recent mileage, season-best 3K, 4K, & 5K times, and long runs. A change in groups can be made by the coach based on performance.
Camp is open to children age 8 & above and is FREE!
NEW THIS YEAR: We will be holding breakout groups during the camp to introduce campers who want to learn more about shot put & javelin!
What to Wear:
- T-shirt
- Athletic Shorts
- Running Sneakers (no open toe shoes or hard sole)
- Please wear light colored clothing to help stay cool
What to Bring:
- Hat
- Change of clothes
- Lunch
- Water & sports drinks
- Yoga Mat (towel or blanket)
- Any medicine (if needed)
