Laura Diller is the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex Member of the Month for December 2022. 

Laura first joined Ocean Breeze last year when NYC Parks recreation center memberships were free & has been with us ever since, just recently renewing her membership! 

Laura, a native Staten Islander & St. Peter's Girls High School graduate, can be seen taking group fitness classes in the morning with Melissa or Yadi! Our members have jokingly given her the nickname "Melissa in Training!" 

She has always lived an active lifestyle prior to joining Ocean Breeze. 

She stated "I saw an article in the Staten Island Advance regarding the free membership so my friend and I both signed up together immediately!" Initially, Laura joined to walk our beautiful indoor track, but once she saw the group fitness classes taking place, she hasn't stopped since! Laura has run into some of her high school friends and many more here at Ocean Breeze! 

She is inspired by the staff and members and considers Ocean Breeze as her happy place!  

After retiring from her job on Wall Street, she enjoys hanging out with friends and family, especially her son. Laura also enjoys taking long walks, Zumba classes at South Beach, yoga classes, and is President of her condo association, which is a job within itself!
