The Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex hosts a trio of indoor track and field meets this weekend to kick-start the 2021-22 season.

Fasttrack Season Opener – Friday, December 3
The first collegiate meet of the season here at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex features Delaware State, LIU, Rider, St. Joseph's, Wagner College and other local and tristate colleges and universities.

Events scheduled to take place include: 60mH, 60m, 200m, 400m, 500m, 800m, 1 Mile, 3,000m, 5,000m, 4x400, 4x800, High Jump, Pole Vault, Long Jump, Triple Jump, Shot Put, & Weight Throw.

6th Annual SIHSTFA Relays – Saturday, December 4
For the first-time since 2019, the Staten Island Relays are back at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex featuring the best high school indoor track and field athletes on Staten Island and throughout New York. During the 2019 event, 13 meet records were set.

Registered to compete in this event include the following high schools: Archbishop Molloy, Bishop Loughlin, CSIHS/McCown, Cardinal Hayes, Curtis, LaSalle Academy (NYC), McKee/Staten Island Tech, Monsignor Farrell, Monsignor Scanlan, Moore Catholic, Mount St. Michael, Nazareth, New Dorp, Notre Dame Academy, Our Lady of Mercy (CHSAA), Port Richmond, Regis, St. Francis Prep, St. Joseph Hill Academy, St. Joseph by the Sea, St. Peter's, St. Raymond's, Susan E. Wagner, Tottenville, Westbury, and Xavier.

The action kicks off at 9:45am with the varsity boys 55mH, followed by the varsity girls 55mH.

11th Annual Bill Ward Invitational – Saturday, December 4
St. John's University hosts the 11th Annual Bill Ward Invitational here at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex. 2021 marks the second time that Ocean Breeze hosts the Bill Ward Invitational.

Scheduled to compete in the Bill Ward Invitational: Columbia, Coppin State, FDU, Fordham, Georgetown, LIU, Manhattan, Iona and more!

Events scheduled to take place include: 60mH, 60m, 200m, 300m, 500m, 1000m, 3000m, 4x400, 4x800, High Jump, Pole Vault, Long Jump, Triple Jump, Shot Put and weight throw.
