HEAT SHEETS
The Ocean Breeze Grand Prix CHSAA trials will take place tonight at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex.  The Ocean Breeze Grand Prix (OBGP) is a brand new meet which will feature elite level competition along with the areas best youth and high school athletes.  One of the highlights of the OBGP will be the historically charged CHSAA 4 X 800m relay and newly added CHSAA 4 X 200m relay.  Dating back to the 1960's the CHSAA premier relay event, the Boys George T. Eastman Memorial 4 X 800m relay has been the must see race each indoor track season and will make its first appearance at Ocean Breeze on February 18th. Â
This years CHSAA events taking place at the OBGP will be in honor of the following:
Don Buckley Trophy will be presented to the winning Boys 4 x 200 meter relay. Don was an outstanding track coach and started his coaching career at Most Holy Trinity and continued at Bishop Ford and St Anthony's High school. He also served many years as the athletic director at St Anthony's High School.

Edward J Bowes Trophy will presented to the winning Girls 4 x 200 meter relay. Ed was an outstanding coach at Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School as well as the meet director for the Manhattan Cross Country Invitational and the Bishop Loughlin Games.

George T Eastmen Memorial Trophy will be presented to the winning Boys 4 x 800 meter relay George was an outstanding coach at Manhattan College and Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School. The awards is presented by the Manhattan College Alumni Spiked Shoe Club.

John P Prendergast Memorial Trophy will be presented to the winning Girls 4 x 800 meter relay. John was an outstanding Alumnus and long-time track and field official. The award is presented by the Fordham University Track & Field Team.

4 x 200 meter relay – The last two heats of the 4 x 200 meter relay will have the top 12 teams (actual times). The top six teams will be split in each heat (2-3-6 and 1-4-5) with the top two seeds in lane 5, next two seeds in lane 6 and the next two in lane 4. The remaining teams will fill in lanes 1- 3. The top six teams will advance to the Ocean Breeze Grand Prix finals.
No "B" teams are allowed in the last two heats nor can they advance to the finals. Top six teams will advance to the finals.

4 x 800 meter relay – The last section will be the seeded heat (actual times) of the 4 x 800 meter relay. The top 10 teams will make up the seeded section and we will use a California start with 7 teams on the inside and 3 on the outside. Teams will be selected randomly for their position on the starting line. The top 8 teams will advance to the Ocean Breeze Grand Prix Finals.Â
No "B" teams are allowed in the seeded section nor can they advance to the finals. Top eight will advance to the finals.
