Ocean Breeze Grand Prix Meet Information

We are pleased to invite your athletes to the Ocean Breeze Grand Prix to be held on Saturday, February 18, 2017. The meet will be held at the state of the art Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex. One of the fastest track in the country and the only IAAF certificated indoor track & field facilities in the United States. An elite-level hydraulically banked track that can be converted from eight to six lanes. It has an eight lane sprint/hurdle straightaway, two long jump/triple jump runways, two shot put/weight cages, two high jump and pole vault runways.

USA Track & Field New York will be offering prize money for the top three athletes in the following events:

Men's and Women's 60 Meters, 60 Meter Hurdles, 300 meters dash, 600 meter run, 1,000 meter run, mile run, high jump, pole vault and the 3200 meter relays.

As an additional incentive, for the Men's and Women's Mile, we will be offering a bonus award if the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex facility record is broken.

Important Dates Wednesday, February 1st - Athletes deadline to declare on directathletics
Monday, February 8th - Accepted athletes/relays will be posted on www.oceanbreezenyc.org
Wednesday, February 16th - Lane assignments will be made available
Entries You must enter all individual athletes and relay teams on directathletics.com by Monday, February 14th at 10:00pm. Please use the athlete's best mark from 2016 outdoor or 2016-17 indoor season.

Number of accepted athletes in running events:
60 meter dash - 8 athletes accepted - Final on Time
60 meter hurdles - 8 athletes accepted - Final on Time
300 meter dash - 8 athletes accepted (2 heats - lanes 3-6) - Final on Time
600 meter dash - 6 athletes accepted - Final on Time
1,000 meter run - 8 - 10 athletes accepted
Mile run - 10 - 12 athletes accepted
3,200 meter relay - 8 teams
Number of accepted athletes in field events:
High Jump - 6 athletes
Pole Vault - 8 athletes
Minimum Standard

Men's High Jump - 2.05 meters Women's High Jump - 1.71 meters
Men's Pole Vault - 4.75 meters Women's Pole Vault - 3.75 meters
Entering the Athletic Complex Entry to the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex for coaches and Athletes will be on the first floor of the parking facility. All athletes and coaches will pick up their packets at the registration desk.
Credentials All credentialed athletes and coaches must wear "Official Ocean Breeze Games Credentials". Each club team will receive one coach's pass. Individual athletes will receive one athlete support credential for their coach/manager.
Spikes Only " pyramid spikes are permitted on the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex. Spikes will be available to purchase at the meet.
Clerking Checking and hip number pick up will happen on the first floor of the facility
Starting Blocks Starting Blocks will be provided by Ocean Breeze Athletic Center. Only those starting blocks maybe used in the facility.
Warm-ups All warming up will be done on the first floor of the facility.
Rules USATF/IAAF rules will be followed in this meet.

Ticket prices: General Admission - $10.00, VIP - $40.00 and Super VIP - $100.00
