Rich LoBasso is the June 2026 Ocean Breeze Member of the Month! He joined Ocean Breeze because it is a beautiful facility that offers many great spaces to walk, run, and stay fit!

His favorite area is the upstairs track because its light-filled space is the closest thing to walking on the boardwalk. Rich was born and raised in Marine Park, Brooklyn, in a tight-knit Italian neighborhood. On Father's Day, he will spend the day with his family enjoying an outdoor barbecue.

Speaking of Father's Day, Rich is inspired by his beautiful daughter, Rosemarie, an A student and classical pianist. He wants to maintain his health so he can enjoy every day with her.

Rich is a retired NYPD Emergency Service Unit Lieutenant. His wife, Jeannette, is also retired from the NYPD, and they occasionally enjoy a couples workout when she is not participating in the morning group fitness classes. They met on the force more than 30 years ago and have been together ever since. Rich also "recruits" his fellow retired officers to join the facility for its many positive benefits.

This hardworking dad enjoys a long walk on the upstairs track followed by some light lifting in the weight room whenever he visits the complex.

He enjoys driving his Corvette and working on his classic cars just as much as gathering on Sundays with the LoBasso family to enjoy a traditional dinner featuring his favorite food, lasagna.
