The 2022-23 Indoor Track & Field season at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex concludes with two of the biggest meets of the season, the NYSPHSAA Indoor Track & Field Championships & the New Jersey Meet of Champions. The action starts on Saturday, March 4 with the NY State Meet followed by the NJ Meet of Champions on Sunday, March 5Â

Girls 55mH: Staten Island's own, Jaice Dorsey (Susan Wagner) leads the field entering Saturday at 8:13. The winning time in the 55mH from one year ago was Kate Del Gandio (Mt. Sinai) at 8.14.Â
Girls 3000m: Defending champion, Karrie Baloga, (Cornwall) leads a loaded field of competitors with the top-seven competitors seeded with sub-10-minute times. Baloga, who is headed to the University of Colorado in the fall, holds the NY # 5 all-time mark at 9:23.80. Â
Girls 1000m: Defending champion, Angelina Napoleon (Allegany-Limestone), fresh off her win in the 800m at the 2023 Ocean Breeze Elite Invitational one week ago, looks to repeat as 1000m champion. Napoleon, the current US # 5 in the 1000m, is headed to NC State in the fall.Â
Girls 300m: Ashely Fulton (Elmont Memorial) the current US # 8 in the 300m at 38.48 leads the field. Fulton is also the top-seeded athlete in the 55m at 7.07 as she looks to double at States.Â
Girls 1500m Race Walk: The current US #1 through US #8 are all scheduled to compete in the race walk with Abby Callinan (Sachem East) & Alexa Governor (Williamson Central) leading the way at 7:05.34 & 7:06.85, respectively.Â
Girls 600m: Vanderbilt commit Anissa Moore (Hempstead) leads the field of 600m competitors at 1:31.25. Moore faces competition from Boston College commit Kyla Palmer (Skaneateles) & the Gerrier sisters, Gloria & Victoria, from West Hempstead.Â
Girls 1500m: A loaded field of competitors is headlined by the trio of defending champion & NC State commit, Kate Putman (Cicero-North Syracuse), seeded at 4:26.02, sophomore standout Zariel Macchia (William Floyd) 4:29.06 & Emily Bush (Saratoga Springs) 4:31.93.Â
Girls 4x800: It's a battle between US # 3 Shaker & US # 6 Saratoga Springs on Saturday. Shaker enters at 9:10.14 while Saratoga Springs is seeded at 9:17.55.Â
Girls High Jump: Current US #1 & defending champion, Camryn Cole, leads the field at 6-0. She will look to hold off Ameila Benjamin (Ellenville), who is seeded at 5-9, the current US # 3 mark. Cole looks to win the long jump, coming into the meet at 19-7.75, which is the current US #10 mark.Â
Girls Triple Jump: Already the state record holder, Corintia Griffith (Webster Schroeder), the current US #2 at 41-11.5, looks to break the meet record of 41-1 on Saturday. Griffth is also is seeded at 18-9 in the long jump as she looks for possibly multiple state championships this Saturday.Â
Girls Shot Put: Julie Thomas (Commack) looks to repeat as state champion entering Saturday as the US #10 in the shot put at 44-11.5. Thomas is headed to Monmouth University in the fall.Â
Girls Weight Throw: Deborah Thomas (North Rockland) enters the field as the top-seeded athlete at 51-0, the current US #8 throw.Â
Boys 55m: Jadon Spain (James I. O'Neill) leads the way at 6.33, the US # 8 time, which he set back at the 2023 Ocean Breeze Invitational.Â
Boys 4x400: Bishop Loughlin, the current US # 7 team, seeded at 3:18.64 enters Saturday as the heavy favorites to win the event, anchored by Rutgers commit, Wesley Noble Jr. The Lions set this time at Ocean Breeze at the 2023 CHSAA Intersectional Championships back on February 18.Â
Boys 3200m: Collin Gilstrap (Monrow-Woodbury) enters as the US # 4 at 8:57.39 & looks to potentially break the state meet record of 8:57.49, set one year ago by Princeton's Myles Hogan (Fordham Prep) on Saturday. Gilstrap is attending Stony Brook University in the fall. The top-ten athletes in the 3200m are all seeded at sub-9:20.Â
Boys 1000m: Matthew Doherty (Mamaroneck) looks to repeat as 1000m champion, entering Saturday as the US # 9 at 2:28.74. Right behind Doherty is Kornel Smith (Briarcliff) at 2:29.53, the current US #16 time.Â
Boys 600m: Wesley Noble Jr. (Bishop Loughlin) looks to repeat as 600m champion on Saturday, entering the event as the top-seeded athlete at 1:18.64, as he looks to climb up the all-time NY record book & break the state meet record.Â
Boys 4x800: US #2 Chaminade goes head-to-head with US # 4 Monroe-Woodbury. Chaminade is seeded at 7:50.39 while Monroe-Woodbury is seeded at 7:52.21.Â
Boys Triple Jump: US # 7 Manuel Sepulveda (East Rochester) looks to win the state championship on Saturday. Sepulveda is committed to the University at Buffalo.Â
Boys Shot Put: Clemson commit Matthew Auble (Warsaw) enters the field as the lone entrant over 60, with his US #14 mark of 60-6.5.Â
Boys Weight Throw: Three athletes enter Saturday with throws over 70; US # 9, Parker Kim, 70-6.75, (Syosset), US #10, Dustin Swartwood, 70-3, (Auburn) & US #12 Matthew Auble, 70-0.75 (Warsaw)
