The 2022 Nike Indoor Nationals, the three-day indoor track and field championships concluded at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex on Sunday, March 13 with the best of the best competing in the Emerging Elite Division.
Day one of the 2022 Nike Indoor Nationals kicked-off on Friday, March 11 at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex. The highlight of day was Kinetic (Ella Kurto, Alycia Hart, Mackenzie Hart & Emily Bush) setting the new national record in the girls 4x1 Mile Relay at 19:49.10, shattering the 17-year old record by 10 seconds. In addition to the national record being set, there were 19 Ocean Breeze High School Facility Records set and nine US number one times set.
The Ocean Breeze WaveRunners competed on day of the Nike Indoor Nationals. Katelyn Kliesch took fifth-place and medaled in the girl's middle school one mile run with her time of 5:21.69. Joining Kliesch on the award podium was her teammate Rylee Ferretti, who took sixth-place in the girls two mile run at 10:51.85.
Day two of the 2022 Nike Indoor Nationals continued with day two of the championship weekend on Saturday, March 12 at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex. There were nine Ocean Breeze High School Facility Records set and seven US number one times set.
