Ocean Breeze Park hosted the 2022 Edward J.J. Bowes Youth Invitational on Sunday, October 23. This weekend, we honored the late Edward J.J. Bowes with the high school section of the invitational on Saturday, October 22 followed by the youth section of the invitational today.
The Edward J.J. Bowes Invitational was established in 2021 to honor the memory of Ed Bowes. Ed coached at Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School for thirty-nine years, was a proud Manhattan College Jasper, and was the mastermind behind both the Manhattan College High School Invitational and the Bishop Loughlin Games that have been held at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex since opening in 2015. Ed's dedication for the sport of track & field and his support for student-athletes was unmatched, which is why we honor his memory through the Edward J.J. Bowes Invitational.
